When we choose not to believe something God said, we might as well call Him a liar. There are those that have thrown parts of the Bible completely out, like God has changed somewhere along the way. Truth is, He never changes, His Word was true then...it's true now. We must examine closely what we believe based on what God has to say it about, not man.
I dare you right now to ask yourself these questions:
If God is good...
Taste and see that the LORD is good... Psalm 34:8
If God is love...
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16
why is He then blamed for evil?
...God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. 1 John 1:5
why would He ever want bad things for us?
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
If God healed then...
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. Acts 10:38
If God is the creator of life...
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:13
If God made us in His image...
Then God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness... Genesis 1:26
why wouldn't He now?
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
why would He want to "take it"?
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people for all have sinned. Romans 5:12
Why do we think His intentions towards those He loves would
be so different from ours?
